SWIMSATION NAPIER
Our Napier Swim Fit is designed for those who are confident in the water and want to swim for fitness and fun. Technique is monitored by swim coaches. Session is one hour.
Our Learn to Swim is designed for those who are confident in the water and are looking to develop their swimming technique under the teaching of an instructor. Sessions are 30 minutes.
DAY: Monday

SWIMSATION HASTINGS
Our Hastings Swim Fit is designed for those who are confident in the water and want to swim for fitness and fun. Technique is monitored by swim coaches.
DAY: Tuesday
TIME: 5.30pm to 6.30pm and 6.30pm to 7.30pm
COST: $50 / term
VENUE: HB Regional Aquatic Centre - 42 Percival Road, Hastings
SWIMSATION FLAXMERE - START TO SWIM
Our Start to Swim is designed for those who are new to the water and taken by a qualified instructor. Sessions are 30 minutes.
Lessons cover: Safe entry and exit, Take part in games, Full submersion with bubbles, Exploring the pool environment
DAY: Friday
TIME: 11am to 11.30am
COST: $50 / term
VENUE: Flaxmere Pools - Swansea Road, Flaxmere
These classes are capped at three swimmers.
SWIMSATION FLAXMERE - LEARN TO SWIM
Our Learn to Swim is designed for those who are building confidence in the water and are looking to develop their swimming technique under the teaching of an instructor. Sessions are 30 minutes.

Membership
Swimming is available to DSRHB members at the annual membership rate.
Acceptance of terms
By registering for swimming, you agree to the following:
Commitment and attendance
I/my child am able to commit to the weekly swim sessions. This covers the standard term, including up to three missed sessions. Missing 0–3 lessons is perfectly fine, as we understand that life, illness, or other circumstances can happen.
If more than three sessions are missed, the cost for any missed lessons (above the 3) will apply. We do understand things come up and appreciate you letting the pool know if you’re unable to attend a session.
Supervision
Parents or caregivers are responsible for supervision before and after sessions. A parent/caregiver is required to be poolside during the session where needed, as agreed prior.
Pool rules
All swimmers and families must follow the guidelines of the HB Regional Aquatic Centre, Napier Aquatic Centre, and/or Flaxmere Pool. Please refer to their websites for further details.
Fees and funding
Term fees vary depending on the pool, typically ranging from $150–$200 per term (as at April 2026 and subject to change). Families pay $50 per term, with the remaining cost subsidised by DSRHB applying for funding.
If more than three sessions are missed, the cost of additional missed lessons will need to be covered. For example, if six sessions are missed, the cost of three additional lessons would apply.
DSRHB applies for funding to cover Term fees; however, we may not always receive the full amount. In these cases, DSRHB contributes from its reserves.
Any changes to fees will be communicated in advance.
Payments, cancellations and changes
Term fees are required in full prior to the start of lessons to confirm your time slot. We are unable to offer refunds or make-up sessions for missed lessons.
DSRHB reserves the right to change, postpone, or cancel sessions where required.
Automated pool messages
You may receive automated “make-up lesson” or absence emails from the pool. These are system-generated and do not apply to DSRHB swimming sessions. Our attendance and fee policy outlined above applies.
