Who we are looking for

We’re looking for people who want to contribute their skills, experience and perspective to the governance and future direction of DSRHB.

Governance and strategic leadership
People with governance experience, or those interested in developing their governance skills.

Financial skills
People with financial, accounting or business experience who can contribute to financial oversight and decision-making.

Cultural knowledge and perspective
People who can bring cultural knowledge, connections and perspective to our Committee.

Leadership
We are particularly seeking someone interested in developing into taking on the Chair / Deputy Chair role.

You don't need to fit neatly into one of these areas. We welcome people with a range of skills, experience, connections and perspectives who are interested in contributing to DSRHB.

What does being on the Committee involve?

Committee members contribute to the governance and strategic direction of DSRHB rather than the day-to-day running of the organisation.

Committee members are asked to:

Attend monthly Committee meetings
Contribute to strategic planning and decision-making
Review and renew policies when required
Provide oversight of finances, risk and organisational performance
Attend the annual strategic planning session
Attend the Annual General Meeting
Support DSRHB events and activities when required
Bring their skills, knowledge and perspective to Committee discussions

Committee meetings are held on the second Monday of each month at 7.15pm via Google Meets.

No previous governance experience? That's okay.

You don't need to have served on a Committee before.
